 On the basis of behavior (व्यवहार के आधार पर)

  • Fixed Cost:- The cost which remains the same at each level of production but varies per unit is known as Fixed Cost.
  • स्थाई लागत:- जो लागत उत्पादन के प्रत्येक स्तर पर समान रहती है परन्तु प्रति इकाई परिवर्तित होती रहती है उसे स्थायी लागत कहते है।
  • For example : Rent, Insurance Expense, Depreciation, Salary of Office Employees etc. 
  • Variable Cost : The cost which varies with the level of production but per unit remains same is known as Variable Cost.
  • परिवर्तनशील लागत : जो लागत उत्पादन के स्तर के साथ साथ परिवर्तित होती है परन्तु प्रति इकाई समान रहती है उसे परिवर्तनशील लागत कहते हैं।
  • For example : Material Cost, Fuel Cost, Packing Material, Sales Expenditure etc.
  • Semi-Variable Cost : Some part of these cost is permanent and some part is variable.
  • अद्ध-परिवर्तनशील लागत (Semi-Variable Cost) : इन लागत का कुछ भाग स्थायी एवं कुछ भाग परिवर्तनशील होता है।
  • For example : Electricity Expenditure, Water Expenditure, Telephone Expenditure etc.
